BY YOUR SIDE P.R. TOKIO HOTEL...: Revista 1320 Tokio Hotel ''Chile''

The German band will be performing for the first time in South America, arriving in Chile on the 28th of November with their Humanoid City Live Tour 2010. And on the eve of their long-awaited visit, the band talked about their show and about the lives as Tokio Hotel.

The day for their first visit to South America gets closer every day. The band will have 5 shows on this side of the world: Tuesday November 23rd in Sao Paulo, Brazil. Thursday November 25th in Lima, Peru. Sunday November 28th in Santiago, Chile. Tuesday November 30th in Monterrey, Mexico; and Thursday December 2nd in Mexico City, Mexico.

Bill Kaulitz, Tom Kaulitz, Georg Listing and Gustav Schafer will present their show in our country, specifically, at 9PM in Movistar Arena Santiago, where they will come with their Humanoid City Live Tour 2010, tour where they have introduced their third studio album, “Humanoid,” and which has also taken them almost all over Europe.

The success they have found on this part of the planet has motivated them to visit with this show where they have set up a true futuristic city. In fact, they have travelled across Europe, with a team of 50 people and 11 trucks that transports and installs a gigantic stage, that also includes pyrotechnics, special effects, a visual show full of avant-garde and high-tech elements; . . . and an amazing design. All this, so the boys of Tokio Hotel can shine even more in front of their fans. However, because of the distance between the countries the band will be visiting, they won’t be able to bring the same stage and infrastructure that comes with the show. But the band has assured that the rest will be exactly the same (the outfits, lightning, pyro and special effects).

This is how the band prepares to visit South America, and if time allows it, they hope to see more of every city where they will land directly from Los Angeles, USA, city where they have lived for a couple of weeks already with the purpose of focusing on new material.

Tokio Hotel spoke with our magazine, and talked about their life beyond the lights and the stage.

Fans in South America are anxious because of your visit. What have you been doing lately?

BILL: We have been spending time in the studio, rehearsing to get everything ready. We are actually working to deliver the best in our shows. We don’t want to just give them a good show, we want to give our everything and surprise them.

TOM: Often people ask us why we take so long to prepare our shows, and of course, this is a compliment; but it really does take a long time and energy to prepare a good show.

BILL: There’s a lot of movement on stage and, above all, the show will be spectacular, so we’re hoping to satisfy our fans.

You have lived through a lot as a band, do you still get nervous when you go on stage?

BILL: Yes, we get nervous because of many things, like for example on this tour, we don’t know what’s going to happen and if they still like our music. You can compare it to how you feel when you go back to school after summer vacations.

Do you feel that you have become a better band in the last few years?

GUSTAV: Absolutely, we feel that we all play better, because we play many live shows and also our tours have helped us a lot. Definitely, we have learned a lot from the shows.

GEORG: And even though we never took much music lessons, you can see for yourselves, I mean, listening to our first and our last album, which one sounds better.

BILL: And well, we have many critics . . . they say we can’t speak English or that our English level is too low . . . and we don’t really care. I mean, we are not only musicians and composers; we are four normal boys who love making music. This is what we have come to over the years with a bit of music lessons . . . and on our own.

Do you feel that this is YOUR year?

GUSTAV: Yes, it’s ours.

TOM: And we are giving our best to finish it successfully.

BILL: It’s not a matter of going up or down in popularity, because we expect to continue with Tokio Hotel for a long time, but this is an important year. We see it as a live year, to finish it we are going to South America. . . And we are hoping that this is an unforgettable experience.

Have you also become great friends?

BILL: No, we have always been great friends.

TOM: You have to be good friends when you’re in a band; we spend so much time together so it couldn’t be any other way. We are friends since the beginning as a school band, that means, from the start to the great concerts that we have done, and we have always been together.

You have also played in the United States. How do you feel about succeeding there as well?

BILL: That tour was very good, but travelling around Europe makes us feel at home. Don’t misinterpret me, we are happy when we get on a plane to travel someplace else, but when we arrive home is a very good sensation as well.

And when are you planning on taking a vacation?

BILL: We will finally be able to do it for Christmas, after spending those days with our families.

El día de su primera visita a América del Sur se acerca cada día.La banda tendrá 5 muestra en este lado del mundo: Martes 23 de noviembre en Sao Paulo, Brasil. Jueves 25 de noviembre en Lima, Perú. El éxito que han encontrado en esta parte del planeta ha motivado a visitar a este espectáculo en el que han puesto en marcha una ciudad futurista, verdadera. De hecho, han viajado por toda Europa, con un equipo de 50 personas y 11 camiones que transportan e instalan un gigantesco escenario, que también incluye pirotecnia, efectos especiales, un espectáculo visual lleno de vanguardia y elementos de alta tecnología. . . y un diseño sorprendente. Todo esto, por lo que los chicos de Tokio Hotel pueden brillar aún más al frente de sus fans. Sin embargo, debido a la distancia entre los países que la banda va a visitar, no será capaz de llevar el mismo escenario y la infraestructura que viene con el espectáculo. Pero la banda ha asegurado que el resto será exactamente el mismo (los trajes, los rayos, pirotecnia y efectos especiales).

Tokio Hotel, habló con la revista, y habló sobre su vida más allá de las luces y el escenario.

Entrevistador:¿Qué han estado haciendo últimamente?

Bill: Hemos estado pasando mucho tiempo en el estudio, ensayando para preparar todo. En realidad estamos trabajando para entregar lo mejor de nosotros. No queremos que sólo vean un buen espectáculo, queremos dar todo y la vez sorprender.TOM: A menudo la gente nos pregunta por qué tarda tanto en preparar nuestros espectáculos, y por supuesto, esto es un cumplido, pero lo que realmente se necesita mucho tiempo y energía para preparar un buen espectáculo.

Bill: No hay mucho movimiento en el escenario y, sobre todo, el show será espectacular, así que estamos listos para satisfacer a nuestros aficionados.
Entrevistador:Ustedes han vivido mucho como una banda.

¿Todavía se ponen nerviosos cuando van al escenario?

Bill: Sí, nos ponemos nerviosos, de muchas cosas, como por ejemplo en esta gira, no sabemos qué va a suceder y espero que les guste nuestra música. Usted puede comparar cómo se siente al volver a la escuela después de las vacaciones de verano.
Entrevistador:¿Sienten que se han convertido en una mejor banda en los últimos años?

GUSTAV: Por supuesto, creemos que todos hemos estado mucho mejor, porque tocamos muchos shows en vivo y también nuestros viajes nos han ayudado mucho. En definitiva, hemos aprendido mucho ahi esta la muestra.

.Georg: Y aunque nunca tomó clases de música , usted puede ver que por sí mismos, es decir, si escucha nuestro primer y último álbum, ¿cuál suena mejor.?

Bill: Bueno, tenemos muchos críticos. . . dicen que no se puede hablar Inglés o que nuestro nivel de Inglés es muy bajo. . . y no me importa. Quiero decir, no sólo son músicos y compositores, somos cuatro chicos normales que aman hacer música. Esto es lo que hemos llegado a través de los años con un poco de clases de música. . . y por nuestra cuenta.
Entrevistador:¿Cree usted que este es el año de su vida?

Gustav: Sí, es nuestro.TOM: Y estamos dando nuestro mejor esfuerzo para terminar con éxito.Bill: No es una cuestión de subir o bajar en popularidad, ya que esperamos que continúe nuestra banda Tokio Hotel durante mucho tiempo, pero este es un año muy importante. Lo vemos como un año mas de vida , que al final vamos a América del Sur. . . Y esperamos que esta sea una experiencia inolvidable.
Entrevistador:¿Se han convertido en grandes amigos?

Bill: No, siempre hemos sido grandes amigos.TOM: Tienes que ser asi, buenos amigos cuando estás en una banda, pasamos tanto tiempo juntos por lo que no podía ser de otra manera. Somos amigos desde el principio como una banda de escuela, es decir, desde el principio para los grandes conciertos que hemos hecho, y siempre hemos estado juntos.
Entrevistador:Ustedes también han estado en los Estados Unidos.

¿Cómo se siente acerca de tener éxito allí también?

BILL: Esa gira fue muy buena, pero viajando por Europa nos hizo sentir como en casa. No me malinterpreten, estamos contentos cuando llegamos a un avión para viajar a otro lugar, pero cuando llegamos a casa es una sensación muy buena también.
Entrevistador: ¿Y cuando estás planeando tomar unas vacaciones?

Bill: Por fin sere capaz de hacerlo para la Navidad, asi podre pasar los días con nuestras familias.
